Thoughts today

A lot have happen and i'm exhausted.. there are ups and lows.. just needed a break getaway to reset or recharge.. the recently past long weekend helps a bit with some breather... i think i want to buy an electric piano at home so i can destress sometime.. miss the days where me and my friends go to a studio and jam it out to our favourite tunes.. tried to group up with some new friends but it just don't feel the same. Well thats all for today.. till the next entry.. oh and by the way i'm using samsung galaxy s10+ and iphone xs currently... maybe i should write a review on that later .. will see how.. till next time

Using OnePlus One in 2018

Year 2018. Inspired by Erica Griffin to take the challenge to use one of the older generation phones today. I've chosen to use the OnePlus One. By far my most fav phone to date overall. Before that i want to cover the latest handset i'm using as my daily driver. They are Samsung Galaxy S8 and Iphone 8.

Starting with Samsung Galaxy S8, i find it very slippery. After a couple of slips and drops i finally decided to paste a screen protector and silicon cover. What i love about this phone is the camera be it night or day the picture turns up better than all of my other phones to date which includes the Iphone 8 which i will talk about later. In terms of software performance, it is finally light weight enough for me but the bixby is of no use for me at the moment. I've tried it a few times but am still not used it. With my job constantly exposes me to splashes of water the waterproof feature is very useful for me. I no longer need to worry my mobile phone got wet during work. Battery life is average as i still need to charge during the day occasionally.

Next iphone 8, not much have change in terms of using and iphone the experience is usually seamless when switching from the older generation to the other so i'm just gonna talk about what have improve for my usage. Battery life iphone 8 have the best battery life i've got on an iphone or android phone.. constantly i manage to use the phone without charging while at work.. only need to charge when i get home more then 8 hours later. Other than that, the iphone 8 is of course faster than the older generation iphones but sometime this is not so obvious. Well That's all i have to say about iphone 8. Satisfaction 3.5 out of 5.

Now the review on using Oneplus One in 2018. I was especting a lagging software experience as a lot of new apps are uses more ram and requires more processing power in general to run.. but to my surprise my oneplus one still able to go through my daily usage like a breeze as if it hasn't age. Since cyanogenmod no longer exist.. and oxygen OS last update was in 2015, i've opted to flash in the latest LineageOS version for this test. This phone is still able to last me at least throughout the time i'm in office so battery life is still awesome on this phone. So overall still standing strong good enough to use if anyone still wants to use it... for me i missed the fingerprint scanner to unlock my phone so sorry Oneplus One, i'm going back to my S8 for now. Till the next phone comes along. Rating 3 out of 5

After 9 years plus, I'm finally changing job

its been a long time coming .. finally received a good offer and i'm leaving my current job and embark on something new... how new? will just have to wait and see what i actually need to do in my new job

Samsung Galaxy S5 & One Plus One

Finally received the phone i've always wanted... software is lightweight but still able to customised with lots of feature... One Plus One...

But first i would like to talk about Samsung Galaxy S5... I've been it for 1 week. and here are my comments... it is a much improved version after S4... it is reasonably fast and smooth but i still feel there is too much of unnecessary feature like the magazine... luckily there are a lot of custom launcher available in the play store... i normally go for google now launcher or nova launcher... heart rate sensor was fun to use but not really useful for me as i don't really have the need to use it... always like the step counter thou... the battery life is average and the waterproof feature is useful when caught in the rain .. camera quality is also good...so i would give it a 4 out of 5 rating

Finally the One Plus One... its nearly 10 days of usage ... battery life impressed me the most.. i've only need to charge it once per day and it has enough juice to power the device the whole day just nice for u to reach home and charge it before u sleep... CM 11 s is smooth and quite fast actually i find it faster than my S5 earlier... The antutu benchmark test was off the charts ... camera is actually quite average even with the 5mega pixel front camera.. i think for camera the oppo find 7 i use earlier is better... screen size is just nice how i feel it should be... its big enough canvas to see and do whatever i want.. playing games is smooth nobmatter what u throw at it... price is very good .. got the luxury of shipping to my brother in states so the shipping cost is very low... so i would give this phone 4.5 out of 5 rating because the invite is very hard to get... i needed to wait for 3 month to get it...

HTC One M7 Oppo Find 7

hello.. today i'm going to talk a bit about 2 more mobile phone for the pass few months..

First up is HTC One M7.... it fits nicely in my hand...quite smooth on the HTC Sense 6.0... before it was messy... camera is just basic for me nothing special or extra ordinary... the speakers were amazing... love the sounds produced by the build in Beats Audio... but there is 1 thing bother me the most is the heating up of the phone especially when u are playing game... it heats up quite fast and i end up had to put the phone on the table or any top surface just to let it cool down before i pick it up again... read in order reviews that this is normal and actually good for the phone as it let's out the hot air faster... but to me as a user experience its not a nice experience...

Next and last would be Oppo Find 7..
the slim design wih the blue stream notification light looks beautiful... the carbon fibre back cover looks nice and smooth feel to it... performance is very fast and smooth... camera is very sharp or maybe it looks sharp due to the QHD screen.. at 5.5 inch the display is just nice where u can comfortably watch a movie or video without squinting... storage is expandable up to 124gb so it has more than enough space for my files... the 2 things which i'm not so satisfied is that the phone is very slippery... it easily slips out of my hand.. and the other would be it is still based on 4.3... i thought ColorOS would already be rolling in 4.4 .. although its just a minor change to some but to me it still bugs me hehehe .. well its just me only anyways... till next time have a good day!.....
P.S i finally got the invite for one plus one ... i've ordered it and now waiting for my brother to pass it to me

Smartphone I Enjoy Using

Iphone 3g was my first smartphone after that there was a few more smartphones i've used through the years... but of all the phone i've narrowed down to 3 of my favourite... Iphone 4S, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 & Google Nexus 5.

I'll just comment a bit of why i like those models i've mentioned:

Iphone 4S: This is my favorite Iphone of all. It is reliable, nice to hold in my hand and very easy to use. It was  rugged. I dropped it countless of time still its working well. It was fast and smooth during that period it was introduced.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2: Most favourite Samsung phone. It was powerful, it could run anything i want it to. Customization was very easy especially with a lot of support online. The huge screen made it very easy for me to watch all the videos comfortably. Easy for me to share something on screen.

Google Nexus 5: Software feels very light which makes it very fast. I like the how the soft casing feels in my hand. The screen is just nice. Big enough to watch the videos and pictures comfortably while small enough to maneuver with one hand. plus its very thin and light.

Future smartphone hoping to get:
One Plus One, from the reviews out there. It looks like my kind of phone with the nice screen size, full of features, Good camera, nice to hold in the hand :)

2014 2 years later

Hi.. it's been 2 years on since my last update... it has been a roller coster of a life... been used to it by now ... always ready for any situation... Still in the same job as 2 years back not much difference only that i am now coaching football in school with the help of my wife and friend's recommendation... so far have seen a couple of potential gems which i feel they could go higher level if they keep training... I've been task to start an under 15 and under 12 team for the club.. it started slow but now seems to have pick up more players .. hope to get more to really push to enter for competitions... i hope one of this boys go on to represent the nation and do the country proud... for remaining of this year hope things get better overall... things had settle down slowly and i feel its time to pick up... still considering if i should change job thou... as i feel this would be the last few couple of years which i could change job.. after this it would be tough to change job... well till the next update.. see ya
